Falls Prevention for Community Aged Care Support Workers

The “Falls Prevention for Community Aged Care Support Workers” online module has been developed for support workers who work with older adults. The module aims to deliver evidence-based falls prevention information to support workers who work with older adults.

 Being interactive, practical and evidence-informed, the module will help you understand:

  • Falls in Western Australia
  • The impact a fall can have on an older adult
  • Risk factors for falls in older adults
  • Your role in falls prevention 
  • The Stay On Your Feet® program.

The “Falls Prevention for Community Aged Care Support Workers” eLearning includes thirteen (13) self-paced lessons with a quiz and survey on completion. Individuals who complete the quiz and survey will receive a certificate for the learning module.

This module is suitable for Community Support Workers, Home Care Support Workers, Personal Carers, Personal Support Workers, and Home Companions.
