Careers and Volunteering

Injury Matters is an inclusive organisation that values diversity and recognises the life experience brought by our dynamic, talented team is the key to how we can truly have a positive impact alongside the community.

If you are inspired to work alongside a team that is truly committed to making a positive difference, where you will be inspired and challenged, we encourage you to have a look at our employment opportunities.

Do you want to make a difference to the health and safety of others? Do you want a volunteering experience that will fit in with your lifestyle?

People volunteer for many reasons. Some do it to meet people, learn new skills, help others, take on new challenges and use their skills and experience in a positive way. Injury Matters is seeking Expression of Interest for Volunteers to join our wonderful team of volunteers. Volunteering opportunities exist within our program areas depending on your skills and area of interest.

Having worked in a volunteer organisation I understand the importance of making volunteers feel valued and welcome. Injury Matters does this wonderfully.

Student Placements

Injury Matters encourages students to undertake their practicum placement with our various projects. Previous student placements have included; campaign development, counselling practice, event coordination, research, stakeholder mapping, data collection and review, resource creation and evaluation.

Our staff take the time to ensure the students are exposed to a valuable learning experience and are engaged in discipline appropriate projects, provided industry exposure and encouraged to participate in the organisational activities.

Please note, we are currently experiencing high demand for student placements at Injury Matters.
While our team strives to accommodate as many students as we can, this increased demand has led to a slight delay in our response time. Please rest assured we work to review each expression of interest thoroughly. For further questions, please call (08) 6166 7688.
