Healthy Streets is an evidence-based approach to designing and managing streets that support health, sustainability, fairness and community wellbeing. Poorly designed streets and built environments can increase the risk of many types of injury, including falls, transport injuries, violence and alcohol- related injuries. The Otago Exercise Program is an evidence-based home-based balance and strength falls prevention program shown to be effective in reducing the number of falls and falls-related injuries. Learning to deliver this exercise program is a great way to help prevent your clients from having a fall. Join Injury Matters on 25 September 2025 for the “Applying the Otago Falls Prevention Program in Practice” workshop and acquire the skills and confidence to deliver the Otago program yourself.
