Have you seen our new alcohol prevention resource for older adults?

To help raise awareness of the harms associated with alcohol use by older adults, Injury Matters recently developed a new resource.

This resource provides older adults with an overview of;

  • How alcohol use impacts older adults health and wellbeing,
  • The interaction between alcohol and medications,
  • Facts about alcohol use by older adults,
  • Tips to reduce alcohol use, and
  • Where to go to access additional support.

If you would like to access free printed copies of the A5 resource to provide to your clients/patients please contact Emily Simpson on 6166 7688 or [email protected].

The resource was developed as part of the Older Adults Preventing Harm from Alcohol and Other Drugs Health Promotion Pilot Program for Allied Health Professionals Pilot. Thanks to funding provided by Healthway.

We strive to be culturally sensitive as we represent the Western Australian community in our imagery.

Please be advised that our website or resources may contain images, videos, or voices of people who have since passed away.
