Heart Age Calculator
The Heart Foundation
Older adults with cardiovascular disease are at an increased risk of having a fall. The Heart Age Calculator is a simple, 3-minute online quiz that helps people understand their risk of a heart attack or stroke by determining their heart age. Heart age is an assessment of well-known risk factors for heart disease (e.g. age, sex, blood pressure, cholesterol) to estimate a person’s risk of heart attack or stroke compared to a defined healthy range. If your heart age is higher than your actual age, you may be at a higher risk of having a heart attack or stroke.
The Heart Age Calculator provides you with an estimate only and does not replace a comprehensive Heart Health Check with your GP. Find out your estimated heart age via the Heart Age Calculator below!
See your GP for a Heart Health Check
The Heart Health Check is a 20-minute check up with your GP that helps you understand your risk of a heart attack or stroke in the next 5 years. In this short appointment with your GP, you can learn more about your risk and discuss management and lifestyle strategies to reduce your risk.
Having a Heart Health Check is an important first step to protecting your heart. A Heart Health Check is recommended to all Australians without existing heart disease aged over 45, or over 30 if you identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander.
