The latest Australian Bureau of Statistics data indicates that there were 17,969 registered deaths in Western Australia in 2024. Behind neoplasms (n=5,051) and diseases of the circulatory system (n=3,945), injury was the third highest cause of death in WA in 2024 (n=1,671).
