That’s a wrap: Injury Prevention Summit 2025

On 12 June 2025, Injury Matters hosted the biennial Injury Prevention Summit, connecting over 90 injury prevention and safety promotion practitioners, policymakers, and representatives from Local Governments across Western Australia.

Themed The Future of Injury Prevention, the Injury Prevention Summit 2025, provided unique insights to attendees into emerging technology and data science through an injury prevention lens as well strategies for enabling positive injury outcomes in WA across the areas of Aboriginal health, climate change, urban design, alcohol and other drugs, and product safety.

The Injury Prevention Summit is a one-day event held biennially by Injury Matters, via the Know Injury program, with funding from the Western Australian Department of Health.

Injury Matters was proud to welcome a host of inspiring and innovating guest speakers to the Injury Prevention Summit, including Emily Hamilton MLA, representing WA’s new Minister for Preventative Health, and Dr Lisa Sharwood from the University of NSW to deliver the Keynote Address.
