Mental Health First Aid Grants

As part of our Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) commitments, Injury Matters is proud to offer the Injury Matters Mental Health First Aid Grant. This initiative supports Western Australians to complete accredited Mental Health First Aid training that builds the skills and knowledge to support Aboriginal communities.

Applicants do not need to identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander; however, they must demonstrate how the skills they gain will be used to benefit and support Aboriginal people or communities.

Interactive Body Tool

Strong Spirit Strong Mind has updated its Interactive Body Tool, showing how alcohol affects different parts of the body.

Explore the tool and other resources on their website, which also offers culturally secure programs and campaigns about alcohol, drugs, and mental health.

Emergency WA App

The Department of Fire and Services (DFES) has introduced a new feature on the Emergency WA App that allows users to create a customised emergency plan for bushfires, cyclones, floods, and storms.
