Make the Right Call Water Safety Campaign

Royal Life Saving WA is promoting lifelong aquatic participation while encouraging individuals to recognise their changing abilities through the Make the Right Call campaign.

Programs such as Aqua Skills 55+ and Heart Beat 45+ offer practical training in water safety, emergency response and personal survival skills, in a supportive, hands-on environment, where participants can build confidence, stay active and connect with others.

Review of Alcohol Advertising Rules

The Australian Communications and Media Authority are reviewing the alcohol advertising rules in the Commercial Television Industry Code of Practice 2015 (Free TV Code) to assess whether they provide appropriate safeguards for the community.

The review will consider how well the current rules protect audiences and respond to community expectations around alcohol advertising.

40th Local Government Awards

Nominations are now open for the 2026 National Awards for Local Government. The annual awards recognise locally led innovation across 13 categories and are now celebrating 40 years.

Elected local government organisations, associations and other recognised organisations can check their eligibility and submit entries until 11:55 PM (AEST) 6 April 2026 through the National Awards for Local Government Awards Platform.
