This May, on a stunning autumn morning by the Swan River, Injury Matters hosted the second annual Injury Prevention Networking Breakfast through the Know Injury program.
The event brought together researchers, policy makers and practitioners from across Western Australia for a relaxed morning of connection and conversation about how we can better prevent injuries in our community.

The goal for the breakfast was to gather a broad cross-section of people and organisations working in injury prevention. Representatives from more than 20 organisations attended, sharing their experiences across a wide range of roles and focus areas. The room was full of passion, knowledge and a shared commitment to improving injury outcomes for people across WA.
The morning began with four structured 15-minute networking activities designed to spark purposeful discussion. These sessions provided a valuable opportunity to learn about each other’s work, explore common challenges, and identify areas for collaboration.

Here is what attendees had to say:
“This session provided further expansion and collaboration with relevant stakeholders in injury prevention.”
“An amazing opportunity and way to know what others are doing in the injury prevention space.”
Thank you!
We would like to sincerely thank everyone who attended and contributed to the success of the morning. Your openness, enthusiasm, and willingness to share your work are what make these events worthwhile. Injury Matters looks forward to continuing to support the injury prevention sector toKnow, LearnandConnect.
How to remain connected.
If you would like to remain involved and stay connected with injury prevention work across Western Australia, consider joining the Injury Prevention Network. The Injury Prevention Network is a group of injury prevention practitioners from all over WA who meet four times a year to share knowledge, exchange ideas, and discuss current and upcoming projects.
