Stay On Your Feet® Program: 2025-26 at a glance!

It’s been a busy year for Injury Matters, delivering the Stay On Your Feet® program through a variety of falls prevention activities across Western Australia (WA).

Funded by the Department of Health WA, Injury Matters provided Stay On Your Feet®  community presentations and events, resources, training events, and networking opportunities to community members and health professionals across WA. Have a look at what we got up to in 2025-26!

2025-26 Achievements

Delivered the first Move Improve Remove cycle of the Stay On Your Feet® “A Little Every Day Goes A Long Way” mass media campaign across television, radio, social, digital, out-of-home, and print media.

Expanded our suite of Stay On Your Feet® resources with new strength and balance videos, new how to get up off the floor videos, and updating 7 print resources.

Achieved accreditation of the Stay On Your Feet® “Active Balance for Falls Prevention” on-demand training workshop with peak exercise bodies, Exercise and Sports Science Australia (ESSA) and AUSactive.

Released the highest accessed WA Falls Report to date, which was viewed over 30,000 times! (keep an eye out for the soon-to-be-released 2026 WA Falls Report)

International recognition of the Stay On Your Feet® program at the Australia and New Zealand Falls Prevention Conference 2025.

Key partnerships

As with many of our Stay On Your Feet® activities, we couldn’t do it without you, our key partners throughout the community!

Injury Matters worked with numerous organisations throughout the year, including our Move Your Body and Improve Your Health Grant recipients, community and workforce training event partners and speakers, mass media partners, metropolitan and regional Population Health teams, Local Governments that are making falls prevention a priority, Community Falls Network members, and the wider older adult and professional community in WA.

What to keep an eye out for in 2026-27

Injury Matters has some exciting activities already in the works for 2026-27:

  • Launch of the 2026 WA Falls Report.
  • Launch of the new “Implementing the Lifestyle Integrated Functional Exercise (LIFE) Program to help prevent falls” on-demand training workshop for health professionals.
  • Update and release of the exercise-based falls prevention eLearning modules for exercise professionals.
  • Travel to the Southwest, Wheatbelt, Goldfields, Kimberley, and Pilbara regions.
  • Remove Hazards and Move Your Body campaigns and Grant rounds.
  • Expansion of Stay On Your Feet® healthy ageing content.
  • Delivery of Stay On Your Feet® oral and poster presentations at the World Conference on Injury Prevention and Safety Promotion 2026.
