Did you Remove Hazards this campaign?

The Remove Hazards campaign has come to an end after a three-month focus on building awareness among older adults to making their home safer, checking their eyesight, and wearing safe footwear to reduce the risk of falls and promote healthy ageing.

The Remove Hazards campaign included a television and social media mass media campaign across WA, training for health professionals, three successful community grants, and a series of community events in partnership with York Recreation and Convention Centre, Moorditj Djena, South Lake Ottey Family & Neighbourhood Centre, and the City of Mandurah.

Launch of the Healthy Foot Guide

This campaign, Injury Matters launched the Stay On Your Feet® Healthy Foot Guide. Developed with Moorditj Denja (Strong Feet) to educate older adults on the importance of strong feet, the Healthy Foot Guide provides practical tips, strategies, and resources for older adults to manage their foot health. The Healthy Foot Guide was officially launched alongside Moorditj Denja at a launch event held at the South Lake Ottey Family & Neighbourhood Centre (image below).

What next?

The next Stay On Your Feet® campaign, Move Your Body, launches on 1 March 2024 and will run until the end of May. Stay tuned for more information and remember to keep an eye on the falls prevention eNews to stay up to date about how to get involved.
