This report highlights the various impacts of Alcohol and Other Drug use in Australia and forms part of an inquiry seeking to improve policy understanding, improve data collection, reduce harms, and identify innovative solutions to the issues affecting Australians.

Translated “preparing for hazards” resources for CaLD communities
Being prepared for hazards can help communities stay safe and recover more quickly.
DFES has created a range of free resources, including factsheets, a culturally and linguistically diverse (CaLD) Communities Help Card and bushfire emergency kits, available in multiple languages to support CaLD communities.
Topics covered include preparing for hazards such as bushfires, how to safely use lithium-ion batteries, and navigating the Emergency WA app.

Age-friendly Communities Connectivity Grants
The Age-friendly Communities Connectivity Grants Program provides grants of up to $15,000 to local governments and not-for-profit organisations to undertake initiatives that help create communities that are inclusive and accessible for people of all ages. Grant applications close on Friday 13 November 2026.
