The Rise of E-Scooters: A New Road Safety Challenge in WA 

In recent years, e-scooters have surged in popularity across WA, offering a convenient and eco-friendly mode of transport. However, with this rapid adoption comes a concerning rise in accidents and injuries, highlighting the urgent need for greater awareness and adherence to safety regulations. 

WA Mental Health Awards 2025 

Nominations are now open for the WA Mental Health Awards 2025. These annual Awards recognise and reward the achievements of those who demonstrate excellence, innovation, and initiative in supporting consumers of mental health services, their families and carers, and showcase best practice in WA’s mental health sector to inspire others.  

Award Nominations close Wednesday, 30 July 2025. 

Australasian College of Road Safety Awards 2025 

Nominations are now open for the Australasian College of Road Safety (ACRS) Awards 2025, providing the opportunity to recognise achievements in road safety across the sector. The Awards celebrate the outstanding achievements and contributions of individuals and organisations working to reduce road trauma.  

The winners of the 2025 ACRS Awards will be announced at the ACRS Awards Gala Dinner held on Wednesday 22 October during the 2025 Australasian Road Safety Conference in Perth, WA. 

Award Nominations close Friday 20 June 2025.

2025 WA Health Excellence Awards 

Nominations are now open for the 2025 WA Health Excellence Awards, providing an opportunity to celebrate the outstanding achievements across Western Australia’s public health system. 

The 10 award categories open for nominations include Excellence in Mental Health, Person-Centred Care, Safety and Quality, Workplace Wellbeing and Culture, Research and Innovation, Sustainability, Aboriginal Health, Preventive Health, Rural and Remote Health Care, and Primary Health Care Integration. 

Nominations close Friday 4 July 2025.
