Participants joining this webinar will gain an understanding of the role of cognition in falls, the difference between and benefits of sequential and simultaneous exercise and gain insight into the PACE-IT intervention and practical recommendations for application with older adults in a community setting.
Featuring guest presenter, Jamie Tait
Dr Jamie Tait is a lecturer in Exercise and Sport Science at Deakin University. He is the Deputy Course Director for the Bachelor of Exercise and Sport Science, Bachelor of Exercise and Sport Science/Bachelor of Business (Sport Management) and Bachelor of Exercise and Sport Science/Bachelor of Nutrition Science.
As a member of the Institute for Physical Activity and Nutrition, his research explores the impact of ageing and chronic conditions on cognitive performance, well-being, and inflammatory biomarkers, highlighting the transformative benefits of exercise.
Jamie’s work spans diverse populations, including older adults, clinical patients, and military personnel Jamie is also a member of the Physical Activity and Nutrition for Cognitive and Mental Health (IPAN) research group, which focuses on informing and developing optimal nutrition and physical activity strategies to optimise mental health and cognitive function across the lifespan.
