Featuring guest presenter, Professor Anne-Marie Hill
Professor Anne-Marie Hill (The University of Western Australia) is Senior Principal Research Fellow in the School of Allied Health and WA Centre for Health & Ageing. Her research is supported by the Royal Perth Hospital research foundation. Professor Hill’s research seeks to improve older people’s health and well-being, and she holds an NHMRC EL2 Investigator grant.
Professor Hill has been awarded over $15 million in research funding mainly focused on falls prevention. She is a Fellow of the Australian College of Physiotherapists and has over 30 years clinical experience working with older people.
Professor Hill has conducted large clinical trials with a strong focus on hospital falls prevention, residential care, older adult education and working collaboratively with older people to reduce falls. Professor Hill also collaborates with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander researchers and communities focusing on sustainable physical activity programs for older Aboriginal people in WA.
