Department of Fire & Emergency Services (DFES)

The Department of Fire and Emergency Services works in collaboration with Western Australian communities and other government agencies to help prevent, prepare for, respond to and recover from diverse hazards such as fires, cyclones and floods.

DFES offers an education and support program called the Juvenile and Family Fire Awareness Program (JAFFA) for young people between the ages of 6 to 16 years that have been involved in fire lighting.
