Older adults with vision impairment are twice as likely to fall as those without vision loss. Using Dementia Australia’s virtual reality technology\, this workshop enhances your knowledge of dementia while exploring strategies to support a person with dementia to live more confidently. \nJoin Injury Matters and Dementia Australia on Tuesday 17 November\, 9:00 am – 12:00 pm\, for this interactive session\, where you will gain knowledge in: \n\nDementia and the impact of dementia from the perspective of a person living with dementia.\nIdentifying support needs in partnership with the client and their carer.\nDeveloping a dementia support plan that focuses on enabling a person living with dementia.\n\nWho should attend? \nThis workshop is suitable for anyone working with older adults\, such as Allied Health professionals\, Occupational Therapists\, Physiotherapists\, Carers\, Support Workers\, Allied Health Assistants and Nurses. \nPlease note: There are 2 sessions running on the same date.
