DESCRIPTION:Evaluation is a key aspect to consider when implementing alcohol and other drug programs in the community. It helps to assess if an intervention has achieved its goals\, informs how to improve current or future activities\, collects information to support reporting requirements\, and supports future funding opportunities. \nInjury Matters\, through the Know Injury program and in partnership with Hope Community Services\, will be delivering a 90-minute workshop session in Kalgoorlie for early career health promotion officers\, project/program/grant officers\, and/or community engagement officers\, who would like to learn more about implementing evidence-based evaluation processes. The workshop will cover topics such as: \n\nThe role\, importance\, and types of evaluation\nHow to develop an evaluation framework\nHow to develop project outcomes\, impact\, and process objectives\nHow to design an effective survey\nMitigating evaluation challenges (e.g. confidentiality)\nHow to best use and share your evaluation results.\n\nMorning Tea provided and networking to follow. DESCRIPTION:Effective communication between healthcare clinicians and Aboriginal patients is critical to delivering high-quality\, accessible\, culturally secure health care. Despite this\, ineffective communication is a well-documented barrier\, and few studies have reported interventions to improve communication. \nClinical Yarning is a patient-centered communication framework for Aboriginal health care.
