Patron

Dr Sudhakar Rao

Injury Matters is extremely proud to have Dr Sudhakar Rao as our Patron.

Dr Rao is State Director of Trauma Services in WA, based at Royal Perth Hospital (RPH), where the unit provides state of the art emergency trauma and critical care for those with complex and critical injuries. Injury Matters has been fortunate to have worked alongside Dr Rao for many years, particularly in the development of the Road Trauma Support WA service.

Dr Rao has played a key role in establishing the Prevent Alcohol and Risk-related Trauma in Youth (PARTY) program at RPH and has been a featured narrator at the award-winning annual RAC BStreetSmart event for secondary school students which enacts the aftermath of a crash scene and shows the direct impact a road trauma incident can have on those involved.

Injury Matters acknowledges and respects the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people as the custodians of the land on which we work, live and build our lives, families, and communities. We pay our respects to the First Nations People of this country, their cultures and Elders past, present and emerging.

Injury Matters strives to be culturally sensitive as we represent the Western Australian community in our imagery. Please be advised that our website or resources may contain images, videos, or voices of people who have since passed away.
